06/15/08 - 713 Sushi Lounge is one of those super hot, hip restaurants that you would
expect to find in Midtown or Downtown, but the restaurant has an exciting space at 10001 Westheimer, in the Westchase
District.
Last week I was invited to the restaurant by an old friend, and Saturday night DJ at
713, Brian Stovall. The restaurant setting with great food and a live dj is always a plus for me, so I couldn't pass up the
invitation. From the moment I got there I could tell that 713 was the place to be. The restaurant was full of trendy revelers
from all different backgrounds, house music bleeding through the speakers, and the design of 713 had a cool art deco feel
to it.
The food was just as good as the ambiance. I had a glass of wine and my favorite,
"shrimp tempura." The tempura was breaded and friend just how I like it. I didn't have sushi this time around, but that's
my goal when I return to 713 soon. In addition to sushi, the restaurant offers a variety of entrees including steak dishes,
pastas, salads, seafood and more. Of course, everything is prepared with a distinct Asian flair.
So if you love sushi, live music, and a different part of the city to hang out in,
stop by 713 Sushi Lounge for a fun filled evening, all in one location.
